MOVING TIPS

Pack fragile items securely; label boxes on tops and sides; keep similar size boxes in the same stack or same area; bring up-stair/down-stair boxes to main level; boxes in attic should be removed.

Remove items from China cabinets or breakables from desks or drawers; remove clothes from dressers and put in large garbage bags; remove sofa cushions; take pillows off sofas and place on top of boxes or inside of garbage bags; keep path clear to/from front door; small loose items should be taken personally; break down beds and dis-assemble cribs or furniture that cannot go through interior doors or the front door.

Be strategic about parking, inform neighbors who may have parking spots in the vicinity of your front door; disconnect all cables, DO NOT DISCONNECT TV POWER CORD; If possible, disconnect washer/dryer and put all hoses inside of appliances; empty fridge and remove bins, take the bins personally or box them; do not wash clothes morning of move; schedule contractors around move, not movers around contractors; keep children and animals safe, clear of moving environment; NEVER LEAVE WALLETS, PURSES or VALUABLES IN PUBLIC VIEW! NEVER LEAVE CHILDREN ALONE IN ROOMS WHERE PROFESSIONALS ARE WORKING!
